The ADA Trail on the west side of Lake Bray is in reconstruction. Competition date was suppose to be last Fall, 2024. The foot bridge over Bray Brook, at the far end of Lake Bray, is temporally closed. The Bray Valley Trail that starts at Reservation Road on the east side of the lake, intersects with the Knox Trail and its extension to the Quarry Trail. See the DCR Map page on this website.
Nearly 20 years ago, volunteers working with Department of Conservation and Recreation ( DCR ) officials and reservation staff, Natural Heritage, Holyoke Conservation Commission, Appalachian Mountain Club, to complete the reservation’s first ever Accessibility Trail. Because of budget constraints, DCR turned to volunteers who applied for grant funding, arranged purchase of construction materials and provided much volunteer labor. The project was an example of people like yourselves coming together to make Mt. Tom State Reservation and Range accessible to all.
